Today I want to go over what a healthy backlink profile looks like and give you a better understanding of seo and link building. So here goes.

Unique IPs

In my experience, the more backlinks that are coming from unique c-class IP addresses – the less backlinks you’ll need to rank for your keywords.

Unique Domains

If your getting links from unique IPs then you’ve already got this covered. Remember, a common web spam footprint is when there is a 100 or so domains on the same IP all linking to the same sites. You want to get links from unique domains on unique IPs. I’m not saying links from the same domain or IP don’t count. I’m just saying they don’t count as much.

Unique Content

I didn’t actually do an experiment but I did observe this to be true while studying other people’s backlinks. I found one site that had a very nice link profile but didn’t have very much traffic. When I went through his backlinks I noticed a whole lot of duplicate content. I did exact match searches(using quotes) for random pieces text on his backlink pages and got as many as 10,000 results. Ducplicate content is horrible for SEO.

He also had the same domains linking to him as many as a hundred times. If you have 500,000 backlinks – you should be getting some pretty nice traffic. This guy wasn’t. Those are waters I don’t wanna test with any of my sites.

The Sites That Are Linking To You Have Links Coming To Them

Backlinks from sites that have have their own backlinks are far , far more valuable than backlinks from sites that have no backlinks.

Indexed Backlinks

If the pages with your backlinks aren’t in Google’s index – they’re probably not doing you much good. In fact, they’re probably not doing you any good. Think about it, if the page isn’t important enough to even index, how is it important enough to vouch for you. The best way to get your links indexed is to have links pointing at them.

A Little Bit Of Nofollow

At least five percent of your backlinks should be nofollow. While it IS true that nofollow links do not pass any Pagerank – it IS also true that having nothing but dofollow links pointing to your site is a common web spam footprint.

Anchor Text Variety

The backlinks pointing to your page should not have the exact same anchor text. For example: if your page is about “pretty horses” then you should also use some terms like beautiful horses, awesome horses, good page about pretty horses, etc. There should be more of the anchor texts for the keyword you want to rank for than the rest though. The idea is to make it look natural.

No Profile Spam

Many, and I mean MANY sites have been banned from Google for profile spamming. I have seen high ranking sites with profile spam pointing at their site. But they also had a lot of good links too. Simply put – profile spam is not worth the risk. Especially if you care about your site.

Conclusion

These are some of the most critical aspects of off-page seo. I didn’t cover every little thing but these are definitely the most important. If you have any questions or anything to add – just ask or add in the comment section.

Mind tricks have been used to sell people things for probably as long as money and trade have existed. They even work very well to sell people stuff that is either low quality or just plain not useful. Chances are these tricks were used on you and worked at some point or another. So without further ado here’s a quick list marketing mind tricks.

Familiarity

Familiarity is the art of making a company and it’s products or services well known through branding and advertising. I don’t what everyone else calls it but, I call it familiarity. This is probably the single most powerful marketing tactic there is.

Basically, what you do is make your brand a household name by making sure your products and your name are pretty much everywhere. For some reason there is something in people’s psychology that makes them attracted to well known names. It works great. They don’t even have to be well known for making good product – as long as they are well known and don’t have a STRONG reputation for making bad products.

I’ve got one company in my mind right now that makes cheap products that don’t last nearly as long as they should. But lo and behold they are one of the most popular brands in the world. That is the power of branding.

Color Psychology

Color psychology is when you use certain colors to affect someone’s mental state. For example, blue is the color of calm and trust. If you’re trying to convince some one of something, chances are you’ll want to be wearing blue while you do it.

It goes deeper than just marketing though. Studies have shown that a person of the opposite sex will find you more attractive if you’re wearing red than if you’re wearing blue.

In marketing, one of the ways you can use red is to get someone to look where you want them to. Red is very eye grabbing color. It is also used to convey yourself as powerful and authoritative.

Yes Man

Another common marketing tactic is to ask quite a few questions that you know the answer will be yes. Questions like “Would you like to make more money” and would you like to live in a nicer home are often asked so that you will be in the habit of telling the salesman yes. It is believed that by doing this you create a kind of YES MAN inertia that will increase your odds of saying yes when it is time to close the deal.

They’re All Sheep

This one is where you lead them exactly where you want them the entire time. Basically, you’re getting them in the habit of doing what you want them to. For example, you would be telling them to look at this feature and that feature. And like in the previous paragraph – increasing the odds that they’ll do what you want them to when it’s time to close the deal. It is very common to avoid negatives when employing this tactic. There is some debate about this though. In one school of thought avoiding negatives increases your chance of making a sale but, in the other school of thought it jeopardizes your reputation and chances of repeat business.

Putting Emphasis On The Benefit Of The Product or Service

This one is kind of a no-brainer and ties in heavily with the previous paragraph. It is also one of the most used and abused of all marketing tactics – especially in the make money online niche. You’ve probably seen one of the many newbie traps on the net that get you to picture the rest of your life on the beach while some $50 website makes you millions while you sleep. Well, the only time success comes before work – is in the dictionary. But, making sure people are well aware of the benefits of the product is definitely a strong way to increase chances of them buying from you.

The Scarcity Tactic

With this tactic you would produce a limited quantity of a product so as to make sure the demand outweighs the supply. By doing so, the price becomes inflated and the consumer’s urgency to buy is greater. This one really works too. It actually worked on me a couple of weeks ago but, the service I bought had a VERY GOOD reason to limit it’s membership. It wasn’t actually intended to be a mind trick in this case.

Conclusion

Mind tricks don’t guarantee some one will buy from you but, they do help your odds. The best thing you can do for your marketing efforts is be honest, always be right, and sell good products. This is how you will build a following of trusting readers who are ready to buy.

If you’ve found this page, you must want to know how to get backlinks. I’m gonna go over with you quite a few ways to get backlinks but, first I want to let you know that spam sucks. Please don’t use these techniques to spam. You won’t like the results. Google won’t like the content and Google’s users won’t like the content. The conversion rate you get with spam is extremely low and the bounce rate is extremely high. Remember, your website needs to be informative, useful, and relevant to it’s targeted keywords. All the backlinks in the world aren’t going to make you successful if your content isn’t good. With that said, let’s get started.

RSS Feeds

The first technique I want to cover is building RSS feeds. If your website is a static site, I highly recommend you add a blog to it and submit that blog’s RSS feed to any feed aggregator you can find. There are also services that allow you to create RSS feeds with any links from any combination of sites. I don’t recommended to add more than 20 links per feed. Your main feed should have all your content though.

Social Bookmarking

There are many sites that allow users to submit webpages, and then the other users on the site will cast a vote as to whether they like it or not. These are usually called social bookmark sites. Pages that get enough positive votes end up on the front page of these site and then get a burst of traffic. You can gain some followers this way but, usually the bulk of the users of these sites are hardcore content junkies with very eclectic interests who don’t stick around long. However, you do get a backlink to your site and there are a lot of these sites.

Social Sites

Social sites like Facebook and Twitter are another great way to gain exposure and backlinks to your site. For example, every time you “Like” a page on Facebook, the link to that page is displayed to all you friends on Facebook. They can also help your rankings because Google watches for social signals to help determine the importance of a site. I’m NOT saying that if you’re not on Facebook you can’t get rankings. All I’m saying is that they help. So remember, Facebook and Twitter are just 2 out of maybe hundreds of social sites on the net. So don’t limit your self to only those 2.

Forums

Most forums allow you to have what they call signature links after you have a certain number of posts. Basically this means you get 2 or 3 links under each post once you’ve shown you’re there to contribute. Look, this isn’t just good for backlinks. This is also an excellent way to establish yourself as an authority in your niche. When I’m on forums and blogs, I get a lot more interested in what someone is saying if they’ve given me solid info before. Also, most forums have a lot of trust and some of it passes to the sites they link out to. Forum signatures can also be a great way to attract referral traffic.

Blog Comments

Leaving comments on dofollow blogs are another way to gain backlinks. However, these are not permanent backlinks in the slightest. Most everybody that tries to run a dofollow blog ends up changing back to nofollow because, they either get tired of all the extra moderating or, they get paranoid about all the page rank they’re giving away.

Frequently leaving useful comments on smaller NOFOLLOW blogs in your niche is a good way to gain links, referral traffic, and followers. The best blogs to do this with are blogs where the blog owner frequently replies to comments. Leaving good useful comments will likely entice the owner to check out your site and possibly link to one of your authority posts. You can also leave comments on authority blogs to gain referral traffic.

Also, when you link out to authority pages on smaller blogs it increases the chances that they’ll link to you. Remember, people who own small blogs are constantly checking to see if they got any links, and they get all kinds of happy every time they get a legitimate link. Even if you don’t get a link back, Google gives you trust when you link out to good sites. But, you lose trust when you link to bad sites. So, finding good blog posts to link to is never a waste of time and, IS a great way to get noticed.

Press Releases

Press releases are one way of getting backlinks but, I really don’t have a lot to say about it. Just whenever there’s news about your site or your company you can submit press releases.

Recommended Tools

A couple of very good tools that really automate most of the techniques above as well as submitting to Web2.0s and article directories are SE Nuke X and Magic Submitter. They’re both great tools but, SE Nuke X is faster and more organized. Magic Submitter costs about half as much as SE Nuke though. Just remember to make proper use of proxies, and don’t blast yourself 1000s of links a day if you’re gonna use those kinds of programs.

Content That Attracts Links

So what kind of content will attract links from site owners once you have followers and rankings?
For starters, how about something funny. Goofy pictures and witty humor tend to go viral pretty well and can gain you tons of links. Another thing that tends to go viral pretty quick is breaking news. In the blogging world it’s usually considered proper etiquette to cite your sources. So when you write about the big news people are sure to link to you, especially if they’re your followers. Another type of post that tends to attract a lot of links are tutorials. If you write something that helps people in your niche do something new or better, people are sure to link to it.

Article Marketing

Article marketing is probably the oldest and most reliable way to get good permanent backlinks, as well as being a great way to get direct traffic. The bulk of your direct traffic will come from the larger article directories. This method is tried and true and STILL WORKS to this day. Basically what you do is write articles and submit them to article directories, Web2.0s, and blog networks. There are a lot of different styles of link building with article marketing and I definitely have my own style. Just try some things out and figure out which combination of techniques and tools you enjoy the most. Variety is the key.

Article Directories

Some people might try to tell you that submitting to article directories doesn’t work anymore. That’s just plain wrong. There has been no indication at all that the Google changes over the past year have affected the flow of Pagerank in any way. What has changed is that the articles in these directories are less likely to show up high in search results but, I can tell you for a fact that these pages can still rank. As always, make sure your content is thick, useful, and has links pointing at it. A great tool to use to get LOTS of backlinks from the smaller article directories is Unique Article Wizard.

Blog Networks

Blog networks are a more recent form of article marketing that is very effective for getting backlinks. One thing that sets blog networks apart from article directories is that you can have your links higher up on the page inside the body content(with blog networks), instead of at the bottom of the page in a resource box(like in article directories). Links high up within the body content pass a higher percentage of the link juice than the links in the sidebar, footer and resource box. Two of the very best blog networks you can submit to are Build My Rank and Linkvana.

Conclusion

Well, that’s all I got for you right now but, I want to leave you with this. You DO need backlinks. But without proper SEO and good content that people want to read or products people want to use, all the links in the world won’t make you successful and, Google is getting better at identifying lousy content every day. Cheers.

SEO Link Robot (SLR) is a backlink software for Windows XP/Vista/7 that automates the process of submitting to various user generated content sites. The types of sites you can submit to are as follows.

30+ web2.0 sites
90+ article directories
10+ press release site
50+ bookmark sites
18+ rss sites

As well as submissions, SLR also has a good account creation feature. It automatically creates accounts(including email accounts), verifies the emails and is compatible with captcha solving services including De captcher, Image Typerz and Death By Captcher. Captcha solving services are very inexpensive and are highly recommended with this type of software.

It’s important to know that when SLR updates it wipes out ALL of your data. So , you need to make sure you save everything before you update. Also you’re gonna want to keep an eye on it in case it crashes. It shouldn’t crash too often as long as read the PDFs and watch the videos. If you don’t go through the videos and PDFs it might not work at all. I really can’t stress this enough.

When you submit to a web2.0 property you have an option to automatically bookmark and RSS your submission. I like this feature because it does save me a little more time. Being able to build links on to the backlinks to your site is always a good feature to have.

SLR is compatible with The Best Spinner and Spinner Chief. I’ve never used Spinner Chief because it doesn’t have a user generated thesaurus but, I do use Best Spinner regularly and highly recommend it for any and all spinning tasks. Spinning is always a best practice when submitting to many sites. Especially article directories and blog networks.

I’ve heard some people say or at least give the impression that you can’t use proxies with SLR and I just want to put it out there that this is incorrect. However, the only private proxy that is recognized with SLR is MyPrivateProxies. I’m not saying you can’t use other proxies. I’m just saying they might fail if you do. Proxies are a must for these kinds of softwares if you want to use multiple profiles because, user generated content sites don’t like seeing multiple accounts coming from the same IP. Especially at the same time.

With all that said, SEO Link Robot is a pretty good backlink software. As long as you watch the videos and read the PDFs you shouldn’t really have many, if any, problems with it. I like the features and it can save you alot of money(compared to other link building softwares) if you go with the lifetime membership.

Submit Your Article (SYA) as the name implies, is an article distribution service that submits your articles to HUNDREDS of article directories as well as the 6 major article directories. Services like this are mainly used for link building because having links pointing to your site helps it rank better in search engines. The number of links pointing at you site is probably the biggest indicator of your site’s importance for search engines.

Major Article Directories

The major directories they submit to are Ezine, GoArticles, ArticleBase, Article Alley, Search Warp and Idea Marketer. It’s important to make sure you know the rules for the six major directories and as well as SYA because you will be submitting to your own accounts. You just give SYA your names and passwords(optional) and they submit to them with one click. It’s a pretty nice time saver. The other hundreds of directories are submitted on SYA’s accounts.

2000 Blogs

As well as article directories, they also submit to over 2000 blogs. It’s very hard to say how many blog distributions one can get because they only submit to relevant niche blogs. This a nice feature because you don’t really want to only have article directory links pointing at your site. For backlinks building, variety is key and I’m a big fan of using blog networks. Also, you’re allowed to include 2 body links in your blog submissions. SYA calls it naked articles. So, for the blogs you’re only allowed to have either the resource box links at the bottom or the body links near the top. I suggest taking advantage of the naked articles feature because links higher up in the body content tend to pass more PR than links at the bottom.

Spinning

The spinning feature with SYA is called Article Leverage. You use this to turn one article into many unique articles. With SYA, basically, there is a form to fill in for each version of a paragraph or sentence you want to use in the article. That’s a really cumbersome and tedious way to spin for me. Thankfully, you only have to do it that way with the silver membership.

Spinning is allowed with syntax but, you need to make sure you subscribe to the gold membership to use this feature. I guess they figure if you’re advanced enough to be using syntax spinning then you’re advanced enough to pay a little extra. Because of this, I only recommend the gold membership. It just takes too long to spin with the silver membership. For me, the best way to spin, is to get the article ready to spin with The Best Spinner and then copy and paste the article into the form. Spinning is completely optional with SYA but, I always recommend spinning when multiple distributions are involved.

Distribution Rate

SYA also allows you to drip distribute your articles. What this means is, instead blasting out your distributions all at once, you make them distribute a few a day. This is the best way to do it and I never recommend blasting hundreds of links to a web page in a single day. It tends to look unnatural. Especially if your site is new.

Conclusion

All in all SubmitYourArticle.com is a pretty good service that’s definitely worth your while. If you need to get backlinks, this program is for you. It has an easy to use interface and produces thousands of backlinks per month. SubmitYourArticle.com also comes with a full money back, 60 day, satisfaction guarantee.

My Article Network (also known as MAN) is an article submission service that allows you to submit your articles(with followed links) to a network of 30,000+ blogs. Their sales page says they only have 10,000 but the last time I checked they had over 30,000. The reason to use this service is because search engines think your site is important if you have links pointing at it and therefore rank it higher for it’s keywords.

MAN also allows you to imbed a Youtube video in each submission. This is great to promote your videos because as you can expect – more imbeds and links for your videos means better rankings for them as well.

OK check it out. The sites in the network are not owned by My Article Network. This means that the sites are located on a huge variety of IPs and servers. This is great news for link builders because tons of links from the same sites with the same IPs aren’t as valuable as links from many different sites. Basically the site owners have signed up to receive free content. This also means that if you cancel your subscription your links will stay intact.

Some sites are kinda picky and others are set to auto post whatever content MAN sends them. For this reason you want to be really careful how much you limit your distribution within the network. If you limit it too much you’ll also limit the variety of sites your articles post to because only the auto post sites will get your content. You’ll also limit the quality of the sites your articles post to as well. I wouldn’t expect to see sites that aren’t picky at all to be great sites. Links are links though. A large number of the site owners won’t accept articles that aren’t 30% or more unique. Not even the ones that auto post. For this reason you want to spin your articles very well.

The article spinning is one of the features that makes this system so powerful. I really recommend you use The Best Spinner to get you articles ready to spin. Otherwise you’ll be spending a lot of time typing that would be better spent on other tasks.

I also recommend make sure you have some nofollows here and there pointing to you pages. There isn’t a page on the internet with natural links that doesn’t have some nofollows and a variety of anchor texts and the search engines know this. If you’re only interested in one keyword phrase just throw in some clickheres and stuff like that. Remember, the vast majority of links on the internet are followed so you don’t need many nofollows. You only need enough to make it look natural.

Another thing I want you to know is that there is another service called Article Marketing Automation that uses the same blog network as MAN. MAN is the better of the two because it has a better interface and doesn’t have the limitations of AMA. AMA only allows you to have 40 articles actively distributing at a time. Therefore MAN is heavily preferable.

OK, let’s move on and go over the the amount of links you can get from the service. How many links you’ll get from an article depends on what the article is about. One article can get you 10 links or well over 100 links. See, your articles go to sites that opted to receive that type of content. So if you write an article about purple ice skating unicorns that do kung fu in the summertime your article won’t get distributed nearly as much as it would if it were about dieting or making money. Don’t worry, if your niche is very narrow I’m sure you can figure out a way to get your links in there. Think about it. This article has nothing to do with unicorns but I was easily able to mention unicorns without being spammy 3 times.

You’re allowed to have 3 links in the body content of each article you submit. These types of links are known to pass more juice than links in the side bar and footer. You’re even allowed to insert affiliate links. It’s worth mentioning that Google doesn’t like having exact copies of other web pages in search results. And the users of Google don’t like finding the same webpage over and over in the same query. Its better to create a good useful landing page to promote a product or service. You’ll get way better results.

MAN is a really great service that I highly recommend you add to your backlinking arsenal. The amount of time it saves creating backlinks is phenomenal.

BMR, along with several other privately owned blog networks have been completely removed from Google’s index. BMR has closed their doors. It was good while it lasted.

Build My Rank (BMR) is a service that allows you to submit short 150 word articles to aged high PR blogs ranging from PR2-PR7. Aged domains make this service quite powerful because the age of the domains increases the trust they pass to sites they link out to. That’s what this service is all about – getting links pointing to your site that DO increase your search engine rankings. You can also submit longer articles with more links if you want to.

No Spinning Allowed

Every article must be unique and they don’t accept spun content nor do they support spinning at all. You’re allowed to place one followed link per 150 words in the body of each article. And as we all know, body links are the best links. You can only place links to one domain per post but they can point to any page on that domain. I’m not sure what the reason for that policy is but, it’s not really a bad thing. I just thought I’d mention it. BMR is probably the best backlinking service around. But that is debatable I’m sure.

Private Network With Unique IPs

Alright, check this out. This is a private network of blogs. BMR owns them all and they’re pretty hardcore about maintaining the quality of the network. All the blogs are maintained on separate C-class IPs. This is awesome because links from domains on unique IPs get devalued less by Google. Unlike most services of this kind, they DO allow you to see where your submissions end up as well as the PR of the domain. As I said earlier, they don’t allow you to submit spun content in way shape or form. And people have tried but, somehow or another they always know. And this is a good thing. Practices like these make the links you get from this service some of the highest quality and long lasting links you can get.

Posts DO Get Indexed

Another awesome feature this service offers is they promote your submissions with RSS feeds and social media. That’s right. They build backlinks to your backlinks. The ones in their network anyway. This adds some juice to the links and helps insure they get indexed. And they don’t charge extra for doing that either. They keep building links to your posts if they don’t get indexed. They really put a lot of effort into getting all posts indexed. The results are an index rate of around 95%. That’s strong. Especially for short 150 word blurbs.

Creating Staff Accounts

You can also create author accounts for your staff with limited access. Make sure you monitor your staff and make sure they do a good job because getting too many articles rejected can jeopardize your account. When you hire a new staff member I recommend you check their articles yourself before submitting them. While I’m on the subject of staff members, I want to mention that BMR’s staff will write for you for $2.50 a post (150 words) and they do a pretty good job if I do say so myself. You can also upload batches of posts at one time and schedule them to post later if you want to.

Variety Is Important

Look, I want to remind you real quick on the importance of using a variety of anchor text and having some nofollows pointing at your pages. I wouldn’t dare waste a BMR post on a nofollow but it is important to make sure you have some. A few manual blog comments should cover it. It doesn’t take many at all.

Conclusion

Build My Rank is one of the best services around for creating backlinks. Because your links are placed on aged domains with PR it takes a lot less links to increase your rankings than most if not all the other link building services.

Traffic Kaboom is an article submission service that promotes videos as well as web pages. I’m gonna start by mainly going over how it gets you backlinks for seo and later in the review how it helps with video marketing.

To start off, let’s look at Traffic Kaboom’s submission structure. How many daily submissions you’re allowed depends on how many blogs you submit to the system. If you don’t add any blogs you’re allowed 3 submissions a day. If you add one blog you’re allowed 5 submissions a day. For every blog after that you’re allowed 2 more submissions up to 11. So you can add 4 “.info” sites to your hosting accounts. And, then submit them to Traffic Kaboom and you’d be allowed 11 submissions a day and, believe me, it’s worth it to do so if you have enough articles to add. In my experience Traffic Kaboom is one of the best link building tools around right now. Just don’t go adding your authority sites to their system or any other for that matter. It’s too risky. Also, every blog you submit to the network must be indexed in Google and cannot contain the default blogroll or “about” page.

Right now their interface says you’re allowed 2 links in every submission(500+ words). That’s all it says. I don’t know what the minimum word count is if you only add one link instead of 2. None of my articles have been rejected that only had one link. Every submission is reviewed by a human so you’re not gonna want to submit stuff that isn’t readable or stuff that was written in spamville. Affiliate links are not allowed.

Traffic Kaboom supports multi-level spinning and as always I recommend The Best Spinner to get your articles spin ready for maximizing your distributions. No other spinner comes with the awesomeness of Best Spinner. I really like the way their system lets you spin the anchor texts of your links. It’s very convenient and you don’t have to worry about the link getting screwed for any reason.

Traffic Kaboom closes their doors to new members sometimes. If they’re closed, just sign up with them and they’ll let you know when they’re accepting new members. It’s worth the wait which usually isn’t that long but, you do want to go ahead and sign up so that you can get in before they reach their desired capacity (when they reopen).

Traffic Kaboom is great for getting backlinks to your site as long you make sure you have different anchors and a little bit of nofollows pointing to your pages. Slamming 10,000 links to a page in 1 day is also a bad idea. Remember your link profile needs to look natural and as long you follow this advice you’ll find Traffic Kaboom to be one of the best link building tools around.

Traffic Kaboom also allows you to imbed videos into your posts as well as link to the page that video lives on. This makes Traffic Kaboom a good option if you’re trying to boost your rankings for your videos. More links and more imbeds = higher rankings.

For now, I really like Traffic Kaboom because of their high distribution rates for your articles and they have more blogs with PR than most other spindicate blog networks. Highly Recommended.

Article ranks is an article distribution service that distributes articles to website owners who have opted in to receive free content. You’re allowed to include links to the site of your choice in the body of the articles. This increases the rankings of the page that is linked to. Inbound links are the biggest signal search engines use to determine how important a site is. Article Ranks can also be used for video rankings as well as submitting articles. I’ll talk more about that later in the review.

Distributions Per Article

You can get any where from 20 all the way up to 300 distributions out of an article. That’s a pretty good amount If you ask me. How many you distributions you get is going to depend largely on the topic and the quality of the article. If your article is about astronomy it probably won’t get distributed nearly as much as it would if it were about tech or weight loss.

Pay Structure

Article Ranks pay structure is a little more complicated than other sites. They have a credit system. One way you can earn credits is by adding a site to their network. Then you’ll earn credits for every article you accept. The higher the Pagerank of the site you submit, the more credits you will earn.I really like that they incentivise people to submit blogs that have Pagerank into the network. Sites with Pagerank give way better backlinks than those that don’t.

Next, they have a ‘pay as you go’ plan that allows you to purchase credits that you then use to submit articles. They also create RSS and XML feeds to every article published through their network. They ping every URL also. 1 credit costs $2 and a submission cost 1 credit. The minimum amount of credits you can buy is 10.

After that, they have 2 subscription plans. The first is $39.99 plan is called the Stater Plan. This offers more benefits than the free pay as you go account. The first being you’re allowed to promote 10 domains instead of only 5. The biggest added advantage of being a paid member is that they bookmark and share(social sites) your submissions as well as building RSS and XML feeds out of them. They even create RSS and XML feeds for the bookmarks and social media shares too. Having backlinks built to your backlinks is always a major plus, especially if you want your links indexed. And having backlinks built to the backlinks of your backlinks is just plain AWESOME.

The biggest subscription is called the Pro plan and costs $89.99. It has all the benefits of the Starter Plan but with some noticable added value. For one, you’re allowed to promote unlimited domains at the same time. The next is that you get promoted through Facebook and Twitter. That’s a pretty big deal as Google has been putting more focus on them to determine a webpage’s importance.

Negatives

The only thing I don’t really like about Article Ranks is that your only allowed 1 top tier category with every plan but the Pro plan. You’re allowed 3 top tier categories with the Pro plan. You have to pay extra to submit articles to extra top tier categories. Because the results I see with this service are so great, this is definitely not a deal breaker. It’s really just a downside worth mentioning.

Quality

Some more good things about this service is that the site owners have the ability to reject articles and even junk them. Yeah seriously, they have a junk button. This helps insure that the articles are unique and decent quality. Believe me, junky looking networks are ripe for de-indexing by Google. Many articles will get rejected if they’re not well spun so I highly recommend you break out The Best Spinner and insure you can get as many unique versions of your articles as possible. And don’t submit garbage or spam. Article Ranks doesn’t tolerate it. Another thing they really don’t like is submitting content that’s not related to it’s category. That’s a big no no with Article Ranks.

Videos

As I mentioned at the beginning of this review, Article Ranks can also be used for video rankings. You see, you’re allowed to imbed YouTube videos into your submissions. When it comes to video and SEO, the same principals that apply to articles are also gonna apply to videos. If Google likes your site because it has links pointing at it and has a low bounce rate compared to other sites etc., then they also like your video because it has more imbeds and more links compared to other videos. Simple as that. They use human behavior to determine rankings. Always have. Also, when a web page has video and images on it – it tells Google that it is a higher quality page.

Conclusion

Right now Article Ranks is one of my favorite backlink building services. They get really great results, which can be largely attributed to all backlinks they build to your backlinks(in their network) and the large variety of IPs and domains in the network. Highly recommended.

Linkvana is a backlink building service who’s main focus is submitting articles but, they also have a social bookmarking service for their subscribers. Basically, you use them to get HIGH QUALITY backlinks to your site that improves your search rankings.

The Articles

When you submit an article to Linkvana it must be at least 100 words and can contain 1 link with anchor text in the body. If you wrte 250 words or more you’re allowed 3 links in the article. There is no resource box or anything because your article goes onto one of the blogs in their network. The article must be unique and handwritten. Duplicate content is absolutely not allowed and neither is spun content.

The Network

The blogs in their network tend be between PR2-PR5 and have 1000s of inbound links. They are also aged domains that have had some time to build trust with the search engines. The combination of aged, high Pagerank domains with unique content and unique c-class IPs make this one of the most powerful networks you can get links from. Also, Linkvana owns all the sites in the network which gives them complete quality control. You don’t have to worry about your links getting taken down even if you cancel. This is not a link rental service. It’s an article publishing service.

Additional Features

Linkvana has a link list feature that makes it easy to add your links to your post. They have a scheduling feature as well. You can schedule your posts so they go out 5 in a day or 2 a day or all the way up once a week. They also have a very fast and polite support team. The last time I had question for them, I emailed them and they got back to me within a few hours and as always they were very courteous and helpful.

Outsourcing

Linkvana has an outsourcing service where as you can pay their writers to write your posts for you. They charge $2.00 per post and this pat of the service is completely optional. If you hire someone else to write for be sure to check their work before submitting. At least until you trust your writer anyway. Linkvana is not overly strict with their approval process but if you’re using a new writer you need to make sure the articles are unique, not spun, and proper.

Linkvana Social Bookmarking Service

As I mentioned earlier, Linkvana has a social bookmark service as well as an article submission service.
This isn’t mentioned on their sales page but I assure you it’s there(the last time I looked). I don’t know why it’s not mentioned on the home page. For a fee they’ll manually bookmark webpages for their subscribers. The fees for this service are as follows.

25 bookmarks – $16
50 bookmarks – $26
100 bookmarks – $40

All you have to do is submit the URLs you want bookmarked along with optimized titles and descriptions and you’re good to go.

A few of the sites they submit to are -

www.slashdot.org (PR9)
www.digg.com (PR8)
www.reddit.com (PR8)
www.stumbleupon.com (PR8)
www.folkd.com (PR6)
www.searchles.com (PR6)
www.gozoof.com (PR5)
www.scoopit.co.nz (PR5)
www.contentpop.com (PR5)
www.ziki.com.au (PR5)

I would’ve liked to see Facebook and Twitter on that list but the ones they do use are really good sites for bookmarking. It’s definitely worth mentioning that the last time I checked, Google is using social media as a factor to help determine the importance of a site. So you’ll be getting more than just PR from using the service. Social boosts are temporary though.

Tips

If you remember that all high ranking websites have a small percentage of nofollows and a variety of anchor texts pointing at their sites, you should have no problem increasing your rankings with Linkvana. Just don’t try to compete with pages that have 1000s and 1000s of links if you don’t want to do that much backlink building. You can manually submit a few thoughtful blog comments to take care of the nofollows.

Refund Policy And Free Trial

Linkvana also has a 7 day free trial plus a money back guarantee for your most recent subscription payment. That is in writing on their FAQ page.

Conclusion

All in all Linkvana is an awesome service to get backlinks and increase your search rankings. They are seriously the best blog network (that I know of) you can post to. High Pagerank and aged domains on unique IPs make Linkvana truly amazing.
